Cottesloe Beach

This is the beach closest to where we currently stay, approx
1 km from our front door. The waves don't get very big (as you can see). About 2 km left of the picture is Fremantle Port and also where you will almost always find kite surfers. Its absolutely stunning to watch, especially at sunset. The first few times Mike, Keira and I went to the beach, we looked like tourists. When we were in the water, we kept looking back to the beach to see if our belongings were still there. Its very safe here. People don't go near your things.

Keira sporting her brand new bodyboarding suit before "hitting the surf".
The swells were small enough for Kieks to lie on the bodyboard and just bob up and down in the water. That was until we let go of her board for a few seconds. A big swell knocked her off the bodyboard, entire body submerged in the water. (Hence the reason for the super buoyant suit). However, no tears, no fears, just a very wet face.
