Our first encounter with the lizzard (aka a zizzard - Keira) was at Stew's house. Mike and Stew took about an hour to get Bart (we named him) out Stew's bar area. Stew was dressed in FULL bunker gear. They are so faint hearted. Bart looks so harmless and sweet doesn't he? Apparently they had "every reason to be cautious because it bites". Hmmmm. They don't have teeth guys.

In my next life, I want to be an Emu.

Picture
Emus pair up for about 5 months in late summer. After the female lays a full clutch of eggs, the male incubates them for 2 months. During this time time, he does not leave the nest. Not even to eat or drink. After the eggs hatch, the male stay with the young for upto six months.

Now why we could we not be emus???

Keira and the Seagulls...

These insatiably hungry birds are always around when you have food. Kieks has a ball chasing them away, but with food in her her hand, the birds keep chasing her. Very entertaining to watch and see who wins the biscuit!

No Bongani or Lindiwe sleeping under a tree?
